The Montoni estate is in the hitherland of Sicily, located in the Contrada Montoni in the the commune of Cammarata-Agrigento.
The estate was acquired by the Alfano family in the early '70s and in 2004, Gaetano Alfano decided to transform the grapes of his father's estate to create a brand of Sicilian wines which capture the characteristics of the beautiful southern Italian island of Sicily perfectly.

Notes: Aged for 4 months in French oak barrels. Intense red with violet reflections. Complex bouquet with lots of savoury fruit, spice and smokiness on the nose. Full bodied, good concentration of fruit and tannins.
Serve: At 16-18c it is excellent with roasts, game, red meat and aged hard cheeses.
